Subscription terms

What you are charged, when, and how to stop. These terms apply to The Practice Desk monthly subscription. They do not apply to the guides and templates, which are one-time purchases with their own terms.

This is a recurring charge. It continues until you cancel.

Three-month initial term, then month to month. After that, cancel any time by email — your subscription runs out the cycle you have already paid for and you are not charged again. No call, no form, no retention conversation.

What you are charged

1The charges, stated plainly.

A one-time onboarding fee, charged when you sign up. It covers the build: auditing your Google Business Profile, correcting what is wrong on it, and writing the response library your replies will come from and getting your approval on it. That work happens once, so it is billed once.

Then a monthly subscription fee for the tier you chose, charged on the same day of each month, starting on your service start date. That covers the ongoing work — answering reviews as they arrive, keeping the profile current, and your monthly report.

The exact figures appear on the checkout page before you pay, and again in your confirmation email. Nothing else is charged without asking you first.

2Your first three months.

When service starts. Onboarding — the profile audit, the corrections, and the response library you approve — typically takes 5 to 10 business days once we have your materials. The day onboarding completes, we confirm your exact start date in writing — your service starts the next business day. Your first monthly payment is on your service start date, and your subscription then renews on the same day of each month. If a month is too short to have that day — a start date on the 31st, for example — that month’s payment falls on its last day instead.

The initial term is three months from your service start date. After that the subscription continues month to month until you cancel.

The term is not there to recover setup costs. The build is already paid for by the onboarding fee. The term is there because this work is cumulative and because you cannot judge it early — replies accumulate as reviews arrive, and the first monthly report is a baseline rather than a result. It takes the second and the third before there is a trend on the page to read at all.

Three months is the shortest honest answer to “how long before I can tell whether this is working”. That is why the term is three months and not six or twelve, and why it ends there. We would rather tell you now than have you find it in a contract.

3We hold your price for two years.

The monthly fee you sign up for is guaranteed not to increase during your first two years as a subscriber. Your subscription still stays month to month after the initial three months and you can leave whenever you like — this is a cap on our price, not a commitment from you. If our published pricing goes up, it goes up for new clients only.

After two years we may adjust your rate. If we do, you get at least 30 days’ written notice before it takes effect, and you can cancel before it does. The only other thing that changes your rate is you changing it — moving to a different tier, or adding a location — and the price for that is whatever is published when you ask.

Canceling

4How to cancel.

Email [email protected], any time after the initial term. That is the entire process. We ask for 30 days notice where you can give it, but either way your cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing cycle you have already paid for — if that is fewer than 30 days away, we absorb the difference. We confirm in writing the same day. There is no form, no phone call, and nobody will try to talk you out of it.

Signing up took an email. Canceling takes an email. We think that is how it ought to work.

5What happens when you cancel.

You are not charged again. Your subscription runs to the end of the billing cycle you have already paid for and stops there — nothing renews, and there is no final invoice waiting for you.

Everything continues as normal until that last day. We keep answering reviews and keeping your profile current right through it. On the final day you revoke our access, and we send you the log of everything we published for you along with your last monthly report.

Everything already published stays. Every reply and post published to your profile is your content. It stays on your profile, and we keep no right to remove or reclaim it.

The rest of it

6Your agreement governs.

Before work begins you sign a Client Services Agreement, which includes a Business Associate Agreement as Schedule B. One signature covers both. That agreement sets out what we do, what you approve, how patient information is handled, and what happens if something goes wrong. Where these terms and that agreement differ, the agreement controls.

7What we do not promise.

No guarantee of review volume, star rating, review removal, search ranking, map placement, or patient volume. Google controls all of it — whether a review stays up, where you rank, what your profile is allowed to show — and those decisions are not ours to make or influence. Anyone promising you otherwise is selling you something they cannot deliver.

8Not legal advice.

STAT Studio is not a law firm and provides marketing services, not legal or clinical services. Nothing we publish is legal advice, and none of it replaces your own compliance program or counsel.
